Wells Cathedral

Wells Cathedral is only an hour drive from my home so I class it as one of my local cathedrals, along with Bristol, Salisbury and Gloucester. Wells Cathedral might be on the smaller end of the spectrum but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for it with its stunning architectural features. Wells Cathedral is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture I have seen - those scissor arches are a sight worth visiting for. It also boasts some magnificent stained glass but my favourite view is from the west front exterior which is full of fascinating carvings.
